Abstract :
The authors propose a model for the integrating of the Manpower and Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) program with the Weapon Systems Engineering Process (WSEP). The interaction of rapidly changing technology with declining demographics has necessitated the definition of a coordinated integration plan to synchronize the MANPRINT domains, including human factors, manpower, personnel, training, system safety, and health hazards, with the WSEP. The focus of the proposed MANPRINT implementation model is the description of how the MANPRINT domains interface with the WSEP to influence the weapon system requirements prior to preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews (CDR). Functionally, the implementation model will describe how a MANPRINT program may be organized to implement MANPRINT decisions post-CDR within the context of the implementation and verification phase of the WSEP
