Abstract :
Analytical and numerical investigation of plasma wave by a relativistic electron beam propagating along the axis of a metallic wave guide in the presence of strong external magnetic field is carried out. Depending on the parameters of the beam-plasma system, amplification of plasma waves is possible in different frequency ranges. If the coupling coefficient is large, waves will be amplified over a broad frequency range. In the case of small coupling coefficient the amplification takes place in a narrow range.
