  • Abstract
    In this paper we report on an active waveguides fabricated by means of a compact turn-key fs oscillator, providing net amplification in the fall C-band, and thus allowing for laser action in the full third optical communication window, up to 1560 nm. In conclusion, we demonstrated for the first time net gain and laser action in the full C-band using an Er-Yb:glass waveguide fabricated by the femtosecond laser writing technique
