Abstract :
In this paper, the four-beam antenna made of anisotropic metamaterial is investigated. Based on the dispersion relationship of anisotropic metamaterial, we give a detailed instruction on the design of multi-beam antenna using metamaterials with proper permittivity and permeability. The radiation property and gain pattern are experimentally obtained based on an experimentally fabricated four-beam antenna, further verifying the effectiveness of design approach. This new design provides an alternative way to design the multi-beam antennas.
