Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach for automatic tuning of the current loop controllers present in the electrical drive systems. Specifically, a practically validated solution is presented, which combines plant transfer function identification, PI current controller tuning for a desired bandwidth and detection of optimal closed-loop bandwidth range using an automatic best response selection algorithm.
