Abstract
Dispersion and fields of the RF system in a plasma-filled helix TWT are calculated by the boundary matching method. Two independent modes K1 and K2 are derived. The dispersion and coupling impedance as the functions of plasma density Ne, axial magnetic field and electron beam radius are calculated. The small signal gain and bandwidth are evaluated.
