Abstract
Text categorization is an important direction of information processing, and now there are many methods of text categorization, such as Bayesian probabilistic models, vector space model, k-nearest neighbor and so on. And now most of information of web is in form of text. Therefore, this paper proposed a hierarchical model of Web categorization based on fuzzy cognitive maps, namely, using fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs) and the thoughts of decomposition to realize hierarchical Web categorization. In that way, it can largely decrease scale and complexity, and increase categorization efficiency.
