Abstract :
A pulsed electron source is under construction with pulse duration about 3 μs (FWHM). Pierce method is used in design the vacuum diode. The electron emitter is a dispenser cathode provided by Beijing Vacuum Electronics Research Institute. And the cathode´s emitting radius is 22.5mm. The diode working voltage is about 220kV (matched). The expected beam current is 300A.
