Abstract
In this communication we report lasing effects from three plastic structures operating in different geometric configurations. The three devices are based on high resolution gratings recorded in a photosensitive organic mixture by means of holographic techniques. The first device has been realized integrating the holographic mirror in a layered structure which consists of two separate regions. The first region contains a dye as active material, the second one the holographic mirror. The third configuration consists of a standard distributed feedback (DFB) arrangement in which the active material is placed directly in contact with the periodic structure
