  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present interactive contents streaming system over IP networks. The proposed streaming system enables users to remotely interact with MPEG-4 contents. We describe the architecture and behaviors of the proposed streaming system, and experimental result in this piper. The presented streaming system was designed and implemented to select suitable transmission protocol according to media type. For real time streaming and network status monitoring, the proposed streaming system uses RTP (Real-time transport protocol), and RTCP (RTP control protocol). And also, the presented streaming system uses TCP in order to transmit IOD(lnitial Object Descriptor), OD(Object Descriptor), BIFS (Binary Format for Scene), and for loss-sensitive media data such as still image.
