Abstract :
The purpose of this publication is to present a new technique for processing bathythermic profiles in order to extract pertinent oceano-acoustic points which characterise each considered area. The proposed approach, based on standard signal processing and post-processing techniques, brings the advantage to be general, no matter the considered geographical area. Moreover, the use of specific tools allows the data compression without significant loss
