Abstract
Preliminary results for the evolution of the filter coefficients adapted by the CM (constant modulus) algorithm, assuming that the input consists of sinusoids with Rayleigh amplitude distribution in the presence of additive noise, are presented. The stationary points of the iteration and the convergence behavior are discussed assuming proper filter initialization (i.e. lock is preserved) for the particular case of a single sinusoid in noise. The convergence of the average CM algorithm weight vector is analyzed, leading to three coupled nonlinear difference equations
