Abstract :
Cold stuffing technology has been used generally for ground level TWTs and it is established technology. The same technology can also be applied for space TWTs. But hot stuffing technology has shown a good improvement in performance of such space TWTs. The APBN rod which is at 120 degree apart will fit properly in hot stuffing process where as in cold stuffing process APBN rods are to be made properly sized (manually) and not properly fitted inside the TWT body. This paper deals with the comparative experiment on these two technology and their effects on the performance qualification on the space TWTs.
