Abstract
The DELTACS military telecommunications system is based on the EUROCOM and NATO standards developed to ensure interoperability between NATO forces. It complies with the military requirements imposed on modern communications equipment. The control and operation of the system requires a relatively small crew of personnel due to the performance of the system which is highly automated. The software of the system guarantees a high system integrity and a fast adaptation to changes in the network configuration. Modularity in hardware and software allows a wide variety of applications and also allows for future interconnection to new systems.
