Abstract :
Recently, it has been proposed to apply array beamforming in digital mobile communication systems, such as mobile cellular communication systems and mobile-satellite communication systems, in order to increase channel capacity and suppress co-channel interference. However, the conventional beamforming methods are not suitable for such use, since these methods were mainly developed for signal detection and DOA estimation in radar and sonar. In this paper, utilizing the cyclostationarities of communication signals, we propose three blind cyclic adaptive algorithms (CAB´s) and associated fast implementation schemes. We also investigate the characteristics of the new beamforming methods
