Abstract :
On the basis of the microscopic electromagnetic theory and the precious research results of the Cherenkov radiation, and in the case of that a single charged particle moves in the vacuum and over the isotropic DNMs, we derived the analytical expressions for Cherenkov radiation condition, the field components, and the total radiated energy per unit length of path. We numerically studied the effects of material loss and the particle velocity on the total radiated energy per unit length of path.
