  • Abstract
Three results on ΣΔ modulation are presented. First, a change of variables is presented that demonstrates that two of the parameters in a ΣΔ modulator do not affect the system performance. Second, a successive parameterization approach is used to determine the probability density function (PDF) at the input to the quantizer of a second-order ΣΔ modulator. Third, this calculated PDF is used to determine the minimum mean-square error linearizing gains for a second-order ΣΔ modulator and an expression for the variance of the noise at the input to the quantizer
