Abstract :
The values of parameters in harmony search algorithm were of importance to the success implementation of this algorithm. There was no theoretical basis for the determination of parameters, a dynamic adaptation procedure was proposed this paper in order to explore and exploit the problem space exhaustively. This new procedure was applied in the location of critical slip surface having minimum factor of safety of soil slopes, the results demonstrated that the procedure was effective.
