Abstract
Many factors affect the end-to-end performance of HF communication systems which use adaptive antenna arrays, including the jamming scenario, the HF channel, the array geometry and the adaptive algorithm. Computer simulation provides an appropriate tool for evaluation of the system´s performance. A workstation for the simulation, modeling and analysis of HF communication systems is developed. The functional requirements for the workstation are established and a hardware vehicle is chosen for its development (IBM PC/AT). A basic hierarchical software structure is used to meet these requirements. Each block of the structure is discussed. An example of using the workstation for analyzing a HF communication system is given.
