Abstract
Shows that modelling human performance is no longer only a matter of analytical descriptions of human control and problem-solving behaviour. In addition to this important evaluative aspect, human performance models can nowadays contribute (as embedded systems) to improved man-machine interfaces as well as to decision support systems. A unified approach to multi-dimensional user performance modelling which differentiates between control and communication is outlined
