Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the minimum mean square error (MMSE)-based signal detection in the 3rd generation long term evolution (LTE) downlink systems. An analysis bound of error probability is derived. The diversity order is also obtained and analysed at high signal to noise ratios (SNRs). The analysis is then extended to the case of successive interference cancellation (SIC)-based detection. Simulation results show that the analysis bound is very tight and consistent with numerical bit error rate.
