Abstract
Opportunities of quasi-slanted transducers (QST) can be extended using a discrete apodization (overlap weighting) of electrodes, which doesn´t enlarge SAW diffraction effect because the breaks of electrodes are placed only in the interconnection regions between acoustic channels, so that each channel is unapodized. An algorithm of optimization of the discrete apodization in QSTs is described here. An improvement of SAW filter selectivity due to the discrete apodization of QSTs is demonstrated.
