Abstract :
In this paper, a comparison is done among different kinds of control strategies for synchronous motors. A classical PI controller is successively confronted with more sophisticated nonlinear and multirate controls. The effectiveness of these control schemes have been tested by means of simulations. The computation delay and the presence of the inverter have been taken into account, to consider a setting closer to the real situation
