Abstract :
Scattered look-ahead (SLA) with power-of-two decomposition has been proposed for high-throughput recursive digital filters. The roundoff noise of first- and second-order minimum roundoff noise structures and direct-form SLA structures is determined. An improvement over previous results is obtained by enforcing proper scaling and including nonrecursive section noise
