  • Abstract
This paper presents a fuzzy logic approach in order to aid in detection of broken rotor bars. A mathematical model based on magnetic flux density monitoring is used to identify rotor faults. A Fuzzy approach has been developed as a tool in order to diagnosis broken bars and to estimate the failure severity. Simulation results are presented from the model implemented using the MATLAB Toolbox software.
