Abstract
In high power traction systems, indirect field oriented control is widely used due to its simplicity and robustness in implementation. The main drawback of IFOC is that motor´s parameter deviation during operation will cause the detuning of the flux orientation and undermining the control ability of motor magnetizing and torque. A new auto online tuning method is proposed based on comparison between calculated motor´ output power and the reference output power. It is used to directly adjust the slip frequency in IFOC controller to nullify the adverse effect caused by motor parameter deviation. To compensate parameter deviation in the dynamic current close loop, cross coupling control method is carried out. Overall analysis is presented and the performance of the scheme is verified by simulation.
