Abstract
In this paper an expression for the maximum error due to the spectral interference from the image component on the normalized sine-wave frequency estimates returned by the Energy-Based Method (EBM) is derived. The accuracy of the derived expression is verified through computer simulations for some commonly used three- and four-term cosine windows. Some interesting considerations about the application of the derived results are also reported.
