Abstract
The goal of this paper is to present how the Airbag Control Unit deployment capability is affected by the energy reserve electrolytic capacitor mounted in reverse polarity by performing multiple crash events with a simple solution developed for generating automatic crash events. The multiple crash events have the role of inducing the deployment of all the restraint functions connected to the energy reserve buffer and therefore causing the depletion of the energy stored at the end of the autonomous operating time of the unit.
