Abstract
An adaptive beamforming array antenna using a quadrature mirror filter to split the signal into sub-bands is discussed. The minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) method is used in conjunction with the QR decomposition (QRD) algorithm for the evaluation of the antenna beamformer. The simulated results show that the speed of convergence of weights increases rapidly as the sub-banding is used
