Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. For a new system using charge-coupled devices (CCDs) and magnetic fields to determine the species and energy spectra of charged particles produced in laser-fusion experiments, it has been necessary to develop special analysis algorithms and software for extracting the desired information from raw CCD data. We will discuss the techniques used and illustrate sample results from calibration experiments involving the characterization of proton and alpha-particle energy spectra in the range 1-14 MeV. In addition from experimental data we shall show how 14-MeV neutron "noise" is handled.
