Abstract :
In this paper we study how a driver could use traffic light information in order to adapt his speed profile to save fuel. Some analytical results are developed for simple cases using optimization theory and numerical simulations are performed for more complex cases. Dijkstra´s shortest path algorithm is a useful tool to provide optimizing policies.
