Abstract :
In this article, a new topology is introduced, which can function as universal biquad filter. It can provide completely standard functions (highpass, lowpass, bandpass, bandreject, allpass), while the quality factor and cutoff frequency can be tuned orthogonally. It comprises 3 voltage to current converters, 1 current follower and 2 grounded capacitors. The current-mode universal filters using CCCIIs and OTAs as examples of active elements, are proposed to show the usefulness of proposed topology. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted, the given results agree well with the theoretical anticipations.
