  • Abstract
Resource mining has lead to a lot of land lacking of productivity and regional ecological environment deteriorating. Land reclamation is one type of path to restore the ecological condition and keep the regional sustainable development. The suitability evaluation for land reclamation can provide a base for determining the reasonable land use mode. The traditional method cannot meet the demand of land reclamation, so the variable weight fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is adopted in this paper to study the suitability evaluation for land reclamation based on GIS. The research showed that studied result is reasonable and the classification degree for the level of suitability is consistent with the real situation of land reclamation, which is helpful for decision-making. In addition, this method can suit for the change of factor configuration and handle with large-scale data automatically based on GIS.
