Abstract
The timing calibration is a delicate operation to perform for assuring the full functionality of a large underwater neutrino telescope. In this paper we have illustrated the main features, some technical details and preliminary results of our system for a timing calibration system tailored to the needs of the NEMO apparatus. We point out however that the approach proposed can be easily adapted to work for any underwater neutrino telescope.
