Abstract
Introduces a class of real numbers based on the concepts of rough sets and model numbers with respect to a given computer system. We call them rough numbers. We study their structures and define computation for rough numbers. To do so, we must revise ordinary interval computation from compact intervals to closed-open intervals for their initial intervals. This way, we can promise that the final resulting interval is always a shorter than the result from the ordinary interval computation. In addition, we address the mathematical properties for real numbers, dyadic numbers, and rough numbers
