Abstract
This paper discusses the new approach of Motion-SPM™ product in μMini-DIP SPM® package, which are fully optimized intelligent integrated IGBT inverter modules for home appliances motor drive applications. This module offers a sophisticated, integrated solution and tremendous design flexibility. It utilizes advanced NPT IGBT with the advanced STEALTH™ diode and highly integrated building block, which features built-in 3-in-1 HVIC and a gate driver that offer more simplicity and compactness leading to a reduced costs and high reliability of the entire system. This module also provides technical advantages such as the good thermal performances through the ceramic substrate, over-temperature monitoring by built-in thermistor. This paper presents not only the electrical characteristics of the newly developed advanced NPT IGBT and STEALTH FRD but also circuit configurations, power rating, and actual set test about the new Motion-SPM product in μMini-DIP package.
