Abstract :
In the last years, electrical power network has gained a growing number of non linear and unbalanced loads that in most cases cause quality drops in voltage transmission and distribution. Power quality analyses assume more and more heaviness in industrial environments and they require suitable and precise measuring instrumentation. The classical instrument transformers don´t allow to evaluate all the disturbances present in the network, because of their narrow bandwidth. So, in this paper, a new low cost broadband voltage transducer with optically insulated output is presented. Its realization and its metrological characterization, in comparison with a high precision voltage divider, are presented too; moreover, its performances are compared with a commercial transducer.
