Abstract
The basic design of the DOLPHIN vehicle (Deep Ocean Logging Platform with Hydrographic Instrumentation for Navigation) was presented in a paper presented at ROV83 by Ferguson and Jackson. Since that time, the vehicle has been delivered to the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Nova Scotia, Canada, and has undergone a series of tests and modifications to further enhance its capabilities. The initial design, tests, modifications, and the present development program are presented in this paper.
