Abstract :
The design of calibration and acquisition circuitry to gain the maximum stability and accuracy from broadband, isotropic, E-field probes are described. The probes use diode detection at the center point of a resistively loaded dipole. The factors that impinge on measurement accuracy are divided into two groups: static factors, which must be dealt with in the initial design or calibration of a sensing system, and dynamic factors, which must be monitored on an ongoing basis in order to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the readings
