Abstract
The evaluation of the electrical energy flows is at the base of all operations connected to the electric energy commercial transactions. The assessment of "metrological quality" of the energy measurement chain, which is, in the most general case, constituted by induction CTs and VTs further on analogical or digital energy meters, is well established in ideal sinusoidal conditions. Nowadays, with the increasing diffusion of power electronics, the typical characteristics of supply networks are far from being sinusoidal. In this paper, starting from the models of the single components of the measuring chain, which take into account the variability of the accuracy with the frequency, the whole model is developed. Simulation results obtained with reference to a case-study are presented and discussed.
