Abstract :
In the pursuit of an enhanced understanding of the consequences of and management options for climate change, high spatial resolution, nested GCMs are being developed for the Australian continent. To parameterise the exchange of momentum, energy and mass between the landcover and the atmosphere within such models requires (at least) datasets of aerodynamic roughness (z0), albedo (α) and surface resistance (r*s)
