  • Abstract
It was found that high temperature and corrosive gas affect the mechanical properties of PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) filter when used. Simulate the production condition, the degradation in PPS changes with these three factors, i.e., existence of NO, high temperature and functioning time. Researches on PPS filter and the fabric were also made separately in this experiment. The result showed that different degradation methods have little influence on the change of filter strength. After the same period of functioning time, the filter strength reduced with the increasing of the environment temperature. The existing of NO is the main factor causes the reducing of the filter strength. NO mainly effects on the PPS filter rather than the fabric to reduce the filter strength.
