Abstract
The resource-based theory of the firm views logistics capabilities as an intermediate variable linking logistics resources to firm performance. In this study, based on the critical review on related literatures, a definition and constructs of logistics capability is provided, which is necessary and important to identify the indicators for measuring logistics´ capability. Then, we build up an improved Grey assessment model of logistics capability, and a quantitative analysis of logistics capability is made on the usage of this assessment model. Managers are able to understand the level of firm´s logistics capability with the assessment model that provides some guidance on how to improve logistics capability.
