Abstract
Nonlinearity is inherent in every switching power converter. This paper develops a parameter selection method for a current-mode controlled boost converter. The region of operation is quantified deterministically in terms of parameter space, based on the occurrence of bifurcations of operating points. The method helps engineers to systematically select viable operating regions of the converter.
