  • Abstract
    Existing problems of traditional air source variable refrigerant flow (VRF) air-conditioning system are analyzed. The disadvantages of traditional VRF air-conditioning system are described in detail: 1) its properties are seriously affected by outdoor temperature. 2) The system has lower cooling capacity and coefficient of performance with an expansion of the scale. 3) It is not convenient to install outdoor units for many actual projects. Based on the analysis of these disadvantages, water loop variable refrigerant flow (WLVRF)integrated air-conditioning system is introduced. Its schematic and characteristics are narrated. The running conditions and coefficient of WLVRF system in Shenyang, Beijing and Jinan are simulated taking a high-rise office building as a sample. The result shows that WLVRF system satisfies high-rise building in cold climate well, and it can operate securely and efficiently.
