Abstract
The utilization of geographical informations systems (GIS) in agriculture has increased remarkably in the last 5 years. The information of soil, slope and land occupation are stored by vectorial format. Land use, vegetation and hydrography are stored by raster format as satellite images. However, to generate numerical information of a particular space, such as the two locations chosen for this study, one needs a terrain numerical model. This study provides spatial information of planting date based on water balance simulation in the state of Tocantins and of vectorial information of the city of Corumba, within the Pantanal Matogrossense region.
