  • Abstract
Design, calculations, measurements and improvement of distributed targets for the calibration of imaging radar systems are presented. The rough surface used is a random distribution of protuberances, as spherical shells, on a perfectly conducting surface. It could be used for in-situ calibration of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) which can have an awkward incidence and flight direction, and to prevent several error sources.
