Abstract
As part of the NORCSEX program, automated algorithms for extracting wind information and atmospheric boundary layer height from ERS-1 SAR imagery are being developed. Initial results indicate that both geophysical quantities can be estimated with the SAR data accurately. Work is ongoing to determine the performance of these algorithms over a range of conditions
