Abstract
In this paper we analyze the various problems that could occur in a SIP deployment. An ontology for the SIP environment to understand dependencies and failure patterns is developed and presented in this paper. We also propose a framework to analyze and manage these problems. We also include requirements to enhance the available metrics in the call agents to enable better manageability of the SIP deployments.
