Abstract :
Most peer-to-peer (P2P) networks in use do not provide any function of digital rights management (DRM) and are always blamed for illegally sharing copyrighted contents. A crucial feature of P2P network is that every peer could act as a content provider and the end users could obtain the same content from different content providers. This feature makes typical DRM technologies not to be serviceable in P2P networks. In this paper, we bring forward legitimate peer-to-peer content distribution network. We suggest that the basic building blocks of a legitimate P2P content distribution system should consist of content certification and digital licenses
